UPVC Window Maintenance
UPVC windows are very easy to clean and care for. So, very little maintenance is required. However, it does not mean that the soil does not accumulate over time, especially with the current whether in Iran. Fill a bucket with warm water and soap and apply the solution to the window using a sponge to clean the outer section of the window. Change the water regularly to ensure the best results. For the hinges, open your window and spray a large amount of WD4O oil onto the hinges, open and close the window slowly to make sure the entire hinge area is covered. After the lubrication, if you feel that the hinges are too loose, then you should check the loose screws and tighten them.
The main locking system is a strip, which is called a spaniolat, which you will find in your window when you open it. Open the window and spray WD4O oil on the espagnolette (the section entangled with zamac) to prevent the locking system from tightening. Be careful not to spray on the glass.
UPVC windows rarely need re-installation, but it is recommended to do so every 5 years. You will prevent any probable damage in future and the seams around your window will also look new by re-installing UPVC windows.
